Ambition with a Center
Consider what you want achievement to make possible.
By Imperium editorial Original writing

Ambition can give effort a direction. It can also keep moving the destination whenever you arrive. Without a clear sense of what achievement is meant to serve, even meaningful progress may feel strangely incomplete.
Ask what you hope a larger life will contain. Perhaps it is greater freedom, deeper craft, useful contribution, time with family, or the ability to keep your word. These answers help distinguish a goal you value from one that merely looks impressive at a distance.
Let those values participate in everyday decisions. A goal that repeatedly consumes the life it was meant to improve deserves another look. You can remain ambitious while changing the measures by which you recognize success.
Put it into practice
Complete two sentences: ‘I want to achieve ___’ and ‘I want this because it would make ___ possible.’ Consider whether your current plan serves both.
