Decide What Enough Looks Like
Define the finish before the work expands to fill every available hour.

An undefined goal can absorb unlimited effort. You keep adding detail because there is no shared way to recognize when the result meets its purpose. What feels like high standards may be uncertainty about the finish.
Describe a useful result in observable terms. Identify who it serves, what they should be able to do, and which qualities are essential. Distinguish those requirements from improvements that can wait for another version.
Return to this definition when scope grows. New information may justify changing the finish, but make that change deliberately and acknowledge its cost. Clarity protects the quality of the work by making the tradeoffs visible.
